PdfYard uses only cookies and similar storage that are strictly necessary to provide the Service you ask for. We use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not let third parties set them on our site. That is why there is no cookie banner: these cookies do not require consent.
Cookies
- pdfpal_session — keeps you signed in. Up to 14 days, or until you sign out.
- pdfpal_csrf — protects your requests against cross-site request forgery. Same lifetime as your session or visit.
- pdfyard_anon — lets you use the tools before you have an account and keeps that work yours until you sign up. 24 hours.
- NEXT_LOCALE — remembers the language you read the site in. 1 year.
- pdfyard_ref — set only if you follow a friend’s invite link, so their code is applied when you sign up. 30 days.
Storage in your browser
Your browser’s local storage and IndexedDB keep your work in progress (for up to 3 days), your light/dark theme choice, a friend’s invite code, and a few interface preferences. This stays on your device and is not sent to us unless you press a button that uses it.
Payments
When you subscribe you are taken to Stripe’s checkout page, which sets its own cookies on Stripe’s website for payment and fraud prevention, under Stripe’s privacy policy.
Your choices
You can delete cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. If you block these cookies, you will not be able to sign in or keep work in progress. If we ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.
